NEW YORK, Oct. 29  — Avature, a provider of innovative Web 2.0 Human Capital Management software solutions, today announced the selection of TelecityGroup Netherlands for hosting their EMEA region software services. The Amstel Business Park (ABP) data centre, TelecityGroup’s newest Amsterdam facility, was selected for its high security, excellent connectivity, and low environmental impact.

The ISO 27001 certified data centre meets the strictest international standards in information security, and will host the Recruiting CRM services for several existing multinational clients, including major staffing services firms headquartered in the region.

High availability and sub-second response time for the Avature CRM applications located on the continent is being supported by TelecityGroup’s IP Multihome service which provides connectivity over multiple Tier-1 networks and six European Internet Exchanges.

One of the most energy efficient data centres in Europe, the Amstel Business Park facility has twice the industry average power density and will facilitate Avature’s cost effective expansion in the region. TelecityGroup is taking the lead in driving energy efficiency in the data centre in Europe: it was the first data centre operator to sign up to the new EU Code of Conduct for data centres and is also a member of the Green Grid.

“While this is a needed expansion of our hosting capacity,” said Dimitri Boylan, CEO of Avature, “it is also a step towards a more environmentally responsible delivery of computer processing power. As a SaaS provider, we get high utility out of our servers, so we process more information per Kilowatt consumed than most on-premise systems. We are particularly impressed with the energy efficiency of this new centre.”

Alexandra Schless, managing director TelecityGroup Netherlands said:“TelecityGroup continues to be the data centre of choice for leading US businesses expanding into Europe. Avature has established a strong reputation for delivering management solutions across the web and I’m very pleased that TelecityGroup will play a crucial role in supporting their international expansion by hosting and maintaining their infrastructure in our new highly resilient and secure ABP data centre in Amsterdam.”
